I am a teacher who lives, learns, and teaches on the stolen, unceded, shared, and traditional lands of the q̓íc̓əy̓ - Katzie, the q̓ʷa:n̓ƛ̓ən̓ - Kwantlen, the SEMYOME - Semiahmoo, and other Coast Salish indigenous peoples since 2000. I enjoy reading, playing card and board games, and spending time with my family and friends. I have always enjoyed learning and have wanted to be a teacher since I was 10 years old. I have been an educator for 4 years. I have a Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Education, and am currently working towards my post-graduate certificate in Inclusive Education. I believe in building relationships within our classroom community through communication, honesty, kindness, and the care and respect of one another. That is something that I want my students to learn and embody both inside and outside the classroom. As an educator, I believe that I am a life long learner and am excited to continue not only my professional career but my learning journey.
